AISI 440C - EN 1.4125 bearing steel is able to attain, through heat treatment, the greatest strength, hardness, and wear resistance out of all stainless alloys, due to its highly elevated carbon content. It is especially suited to applications like ball bearings and valve parts.
Description
This is a high carbon martensitic stainless with moderate corrosion resistance good strength andthe ability to obtain and keep excellent hardness HRC 60 and wear resistance.
Applications
Ball bearings and races,gage blocks,molds and dies,cutlery,valve components,knives andmeasuring instruments and other products with highest hardness and wear resistance.
